Hi Gang....
For some odd reason my TVSE is hanging every few days now and I'm struggling to find out why. My local rep says to replace the hard drive, but the IT guy in me doesn't think that sounds right.
The CPU stays up (I can ssh into and restart it), I can get to the login page of the web GUI, but once I try to log in, it just hangs. The IP phones can see the server if starting up for the first time, but hang on "connecting to server" and if the phone was already up, it appears to be working until you try to use it and nothing happens....
A restart always fixes it, but only for a few days....
Any ideas on how to track this down?
Thanks.

Then re-run the service pack for your version.
I would start with that. Don't feel it's a hard drive problem because I don't think it would work for a day or two if there were corruptions on the hard drive. But have a back-up tvse card if the service pack fails.
Also without re-starting the TVSE card (when the problem is happing) make a mini network with one phone and a hub right into the TVSE card to rule out the network.

Also make sure you are running 3.48 firmware and check the chip level should be 3.0

Telrad 321. Looks like a hard drive failure. Also I would like to welcome you to the MSG Board. But in the future please don't double post and bring up year old topics.
You can always start a new topic.
