Telrad 128 6.05 and IVM 4.00. What do I need to accomplish Dial By Name on this system setup?

Your version are off. Some feature won't work it the version 4.00 voicemail when you're version 6 on the phone system. Like MSG Monitor for a fact.

But I think your in luck with Dial By Name.

Call into the Auto Attendant and make sure when you hit 3 you get the option for DBN. If not you will have purchase some tech support from a Moderator.

If you do then go into the voicemail (from the PC),
4 Voicemail Programing
Then Password
3 System Directory numbers
use your arrow keys to get to a mailbox
Press f-4 to enter the users name.
Important to have the name greeting record properly.

Absolutely right SS, but this customer has hit some rough times(laid off the receptionist, thereby inquiring about DBN). They are in "keep it flying with bubble gum and tin cans" mode. The system is first in line(they tell me) when things turn around for them.
