Hi All We have installed a Kx-TE824 and 8 of the extensions or in Bedrooms that we do not want the resedents to be able to make any calls at all. we have taken of External calls no problem but can not find any way of stoping internal calls we are using a pc to program
If anyone could offer any posable answers
we would be most greatfull

Disable the dialing function. Only thing is, the resident won't be able to dial ANYTHING. And that may not be acceptable! That means no one else can make a call, for instance in an emergency, from that phone. I'm assuming that they have S/L phones as opposed to proprietary phones. John C.

Yes they all have S/L phones and not being able to make emergency calls would not be a problem
which menu is the disable dialing function listed

Dave, I'm referring to the phone itself. Disable the actual dial pad on the phone. I don't know what sort of phones you have available where you are, but here in the 'colonies' we can obtain telephones without dial dial pads. John C.

In the software go to TRS and first setting COS. this will show all extensions and they will be by default in cos 1 for all modes. change the extensions you want blocked to cos 5 this will still allow emergency calls, if you have a guest house/hotel, you will by law have to provide emergency calls on the telephones
