Customer has a 624-5 with two panasonic doorphones. They would like to have both doorphones ring just like a CO call so their dogs won't go nuts every time the distinct doorphone tone goes off.

I found where to change the doorphones from triple to single ring but they currently beep instead of ring. Is there a way to change the tone from a 'beep to a ring?

That is too funny. My dogs are the same way; they have gotten smart enough to recognize the difference. That triple ring sets them into about ten minutes of incessant barking.

I also use the "timed reminder", AKA wake-up call feature for my alarm clock and though the tone is different, the cadence is the same.

My older dog doesn't respond to the wake-up calls anymore, but rest assured that when the smallest (and loudest) dog hears it. He makes sure that the whole house wakes up when I do. I'm not very popular at 4:10 AM these days.

Unfortunately, no there isn't a fix for this. The only workaround is to use a door box, like a Viking W-2000A to ring in on a CO line port.

Yeah I see that often at residences, the dogs bark on every doorphone call. This is the first request that I've heard of to change the ring for this reason.

I know that on the TDA the doorphones have a triple ring but they give a 'ring' sound not a triple 'beep', and I think on the TD's it's the same, a ring not a beep. So is this beep only on the 624's?

Yeah, it's the same on the KX-TD. My dogs are especially fond of my TD-1232, so I'm afraid to say that the answer to your question is a resounding "bark, bark, bark".

I hate to say it, but even if it could be changed, dogs aren't as dumb as we think they are. They would figure it out. Knowing Panasonic, our ring pattern choices would be limited to eight or so. The dogs would have them all memorized within a year.

My dogs even bark at the doorbell sound on the TV, so I am fighting a losing battle. I wish I had a better answer for you.
