I have had a pair of TVA50 and TA824 for a while now, and they have been working fine.

I changed the outgoing message for our night message and now when people call, the system does not release the lines.

it seems to only happen when someone hangs up during the OMG, but if they leave a message, it gets stuck.

once 2 lines are stuck, the system wont answer any calls.

This has happened before and i cant figure out what we did to make it stop.

can anyone help please.

Two lines, two VM ports = no way to get to the VM.

No disconnect signal from the dail tone provider when the calling party hangs up = calls held in the VM.

OK, so how can i fix this. it makes no sense. for over a year we had no issue. Then io change the OGM and now issues.

It can't be related.

Do they have to make a selection to leave a message, because if they end up in a mailbox the voive mail should disconnect if detecting busy tone or no voice.if they do have to make a selection then make sure no number selection( no dtmf) ends up in a mailbox or set it for to disconnect

If you should have cpc as KLD said, check with your provider. test it by ringing in, answer the call, hang up the phone used to dial in and see if line clears down.
