Here goes nothing...

Just got my hands on a TA824 and TVA50 for my TV station. Here is how our radio station has their 624 and tvs50 setup:

1) All incoming calls go to the TVS50 AA, where callers cal select who they want to talk to
2) TVS50 pages all extensions with "BEEP I have a call for... (name)"
3) Subscriber can pick up on any extension (without answer code)

I would like to have our system to the same thing, but I seem to be stuck in a loop between the programming, operation, and feature manuals of both the 824 and TVA50. So here are my questions:

1) How can I, or where can I find information on how to, intercept all incoming calls with the TVA50's AA.

2) How can I setup the TVA50 AA to page all extensions with the subscriber's recorded name.

1:
Intercept all incoming calls with the TVA50's AA. Programming manual. Page 41.
What you want are fields 414, 415 and 416.
2: 1st, set up mailboxs for anyone who you want paged.
Have them record their name in the management options of their mailbox.
Make certain you can talk to the TVA and can access programming through your laptop.
Get the TVA integrated and everything up and runing and then we'll work on the paging.

Alright, I was able to program the AA and enable paging for my mailbox subscribers, great!

This may be nitpicking, but is there a way to enable a ringing tone for callers while the system is waiting for someone to pick up?

Right now, it goes "Please hold while I page your party" ... 7 seconds of silence ... "The party is not available" etc. I would like to have some sort of ringing tone in there so that the caller doesn't think that they have been hung up on. Is that possible?

MH, That's what music/message on hold is for.
If a tone will suffice then go into field 111
and change it.
