I need to change a custom parameter on a TVS100. What is the best way to accomplish this. Also, how do I get into the system with Hyper Terminal setup. I originally set the system up with Hyper and it went fine but I can't seem to get back into the system now. Is there some command that I have to enter? I do have Voicemail Master but it doesn't let me get to the parameter that I need to change which is the dialing parameter which plays the "you have a call" line (1-6-3-1) when a call is transfered.

Hyperterm is fine, actually better then the so called "voice mail master". 9600, 8, N & 1 no flow control. do not use auto detect. Set your Term. type to VT100 or 220 You must use a NULL modem cable or adapter. It may be that someone changed the baud rate. If you turn the TVS off and set the rotary switch to 1 and reboot it will reset the RS232 parameters. Put it back to 0 when your done. If you just want to get rid of the "you have a call" change it to FXA on the transfer sequence. MrG

Thanks much. I did finally find the info in my book and got the change made. I now don't have the girl telling me that I have a call. I would like to hear ringing when I am transfered. I will do some reading to see if I should have that when I set the transfer string to FXD. Right now I still hear the music when I am transfered. It has been a while sense I had to do some programming on the voice mails. Anyway, thank you for the quick reply.

Bilcor:
Ringback tone on transfers is a parameter set in the KSU, not the voice mail. Are you an technician or an end-user? It's not so simple to change this programming in the KSU, and it might not be possible depending upon the phone system and software level you have.

Got that one taken careof for now. I have ordered a TVA50 to play with. I hope this one is better than the TVS units. I think there have been some imporvements made to the units.
