Currently there is a Nortel BCM400 at the main office and have two remote sites connected back to the main office, by a VPN tunnel. Both sites have IP2002 & 2004 phones installed at each location they can call in and out at all the stations and make intercom calls from both sites to the main office. If someone from one of the remote sites, tries to call the other remote site, the phone will ring and it will display were the call is coming from but no voice would be heard on either side. The odd thing is if someone from either remote site calls the 7 digital outside number which is mapped to a station’s hunt group the call will go through just fine. Anyone have any ideas on what can be the problem? Thanks for your assistance.

Could be a fire wall issue.

i've seen this myself. It has to do with your VPN setup. You need tunnel to tunnel routing (aka: spoke to spoke). What type of VPN equipment are you using?

Each location has a Cicso 506E installed and both of them get routed back to the main office. Currently if I am at the one remote site I can not connect/ping any equipment back at the other remote site. So I am taking I need to get that changed.

it is likely a firewall issue. we just had this exact same problem with a BCM50 2.0 and 3.0 networked. the problem is in the port configuration on the remote firewalls. We spent days with top level Nortel support on this. They tried everything they could think of and this was the resolution. I will verify the exact number and get it to you.
