I am having difficulties finding the directions to reactivate the F980-F989 feature codes. I thought that I would use feature 903, see the codes, then press OK to accept the default codes. Feature 903 comes up as an inactive code. I forget what to do at this point. Thanks for the help.

This is going to sound stupid, but do you have a working, powered up VM connected? John C.

Yes the Call Pilot is powered up, otherwise I would not be able to receive the feature is not active message on the display. The system had been working fine for a little over 12 months before it "locked up" for lack of a better description. I am assuming that a power surge effected the unit somehow, even though there is a one year old Belkin unit installed.

F903 is not a default code on the CP. This is probably a power supply issue.

TeleMarv - You are good. That is one bit of info that I failed to include. The client was tellling me that the voicemail had been overheating periodically and shutting the system down. I have never replaced a power supply. Is this doable in the field without soldering involved? Thanks again.

One more note: My apologies to Lightninghorse. You were also right on the money. Sorry for not considering that possibility thoroughly. Thanks

New question: The end user tells me that they still receive a green light on the Call Pilot cabinet, when the power is plugged in. Is it likely that the power supply, if bad or not at full strength, would still have enough juice to light up the green lamp? I told the customer that I would check on this prior to ordering a replacement power supply. Thank you once again.

Many problems can be caused by a defective P/S. Just like my son, even though it won't work, doesn't mean it don't work at all. laugh

Besides a new P/S isn't going to break the bank. If the client is that cheap, can he really go without his VM ?

Most of the defective power supplies that I've replaced, the green lght was still on. It wouldn't boot up, but the power light would work.
