I have a DID trunk that you get fast busy or recording on it. I took a working DID number off line 157 and put it on Line 187 which is the one gets fast busy or recording. It works so I put the bad DID on the line 157 which worked and got a fast busy or recording.
I put them back and called One communication and they tell me that its still our system. I cant think of any other place to look or test on it. Has anyone one else had this problem? mad

My vote goes to its a carrier problem.

As you see there is nothing wrong with your target line (157 or 187). The problem is in the target line setup or Provider. If that DID is not released by them you helpless. Ask the to dial that DID from their switch. If calls goes through then your setup correct and their switch or routing is the problem.

If I had a dollar for every (wrongful) instance of the carrier saying "it's your equipment", I'd be happily retired now.

How many DID numbers do you have and is this number the only one giving you problems? Oh my vote is carrier also.

Jimmy this is the only number that isnt working they keep telling me its the switch. All that was done they changed from AT&T to One Communication.
not on site cant remember how many DID they have.

Has AT&T released the number? Been there before! Don't ask me what that means, I just know that was the problem 1 time! Carriers, old and new, finally figured it out! Then 1 of them, the new one I think, said that the problem was that the old carrier had not released the number yet. True? Beats me, all I know is it started working. For all I know, the new carrier was baffling me with BS. John C.
