hey guys,
whats the difference between square, hybrid and pbx? which is the best one to choose? I've been using square with no problems but i think i should be using hybrid for some reason.

They're just templates you can use to make the set-up a little easier. I know Nortel had each template spec'd out in the old paperback manuals. It's probably listed on the documentation CD somewhere, although I am not sure where exactly. A complete list of all of the differences would be pretty long to try and list here. Maybe one of the other guys will have a link to share.

Square means EVERY phone or almost every phone will look the same, makes it easier if 80% are the same. Never choose Hybrid, use PBX

I typically use "squared" for POTs application and PBX for PRI. But as Rich says, it's only a starting place.

You can find the template defaults on the programming record form.

If you look at the CD - under Programming Record starting on page 19, it shows the T-series 8,16, & 16e phone buttons and how each is programmed with the different config's.
