I have a customer with a MICS 3.0 software. They have one PRI. Can this old software take a second PRI ?? They also have a SERV CART ? With 2 PRI's will that SERV CART be OK or should it go to a COMBO card?? Is there any advantage of a COMBO card over a SERV CART ??
Thanks for any feedback.
If CON is the opposite of PRO Then what is the opposite of Progress?

Are you sure the software version is 3.0? PRI is not supported until 4.1.

You need a COMBO only if you planing to expend a system. That software is not 3.0. As pts tech. mentioned it is at least 4.1 and it's accepting 2 T1s.

MY BAD - Don't know what I was Thinking. :bang:
My mind always thinks PRI.
Software is 3.0 but it is a T1 not PRI.
Back to the questions. Will it run TWO T1's? Will the Serv Cart do? or need Combo.?
Thanks

What I know to be true is, anything R1T1 or higher will run BOTH T1's, only one can be clocked 'Primary', the other will be 'Secondary'; then as of 4.0 PRI was introduced. 4.1 added the features to have External Call Forward, and External Transfer. I think the Svc Cartridge vs. Combo is just personal preference, until you go XC software, which uses that second expansion slot, and if that used to be a Svc Cartridge, it then HAS to be replaced with a Combo card.
But....from further experience, if you have 3.0 run, run far away!! I've had nothing but bugs from systems running MICS 3.0 and NAM 3.0
