Have a Mitel SX 200 EL with the main cabinet and two bays. The main cabinet is down with NDT on the console or any of the single line phones. The other two bays are functioning fine. I have swapped the main cabinet power supply with one of the bays PS. No Change. I pulled every card out of the main cabinet one at a time to see if I could get DT on one card. Nothing. I am at a loss. Any ideas.

Thanks

Is this new Install or an existing one? What cards in main cabinet. Can you see all cards in Form 1 as Installed and Programmed? have you get into Maintenance and did a Diagnostic for Bay 1? Any info would be helpful.

Well if the main cabinet is down then you can't get into diagnostics. So Have you tried changing out the Bay Control Card. That would be the next thing I would check (that is if the cabinet is powering up at all). IF not I would put all the control cards from the Main cabinet and put them in a peripheral cabinet (and pull out all the other line cards) and see if it will come up then. Obviously if it does, you have a bad cabinet and at least you can limp along until you can get it replaced.

Sounds like the main control card is up, but the peripheral cards are not!!!
I'll put my money on Dane's comment that the BCC card on bay 1 is out.
Chances are it's a BCC III, that lost it's ROM info! Take the BCC card fom one of the functioning bays, and try it in bay 1. If there are no daughter boards needed for the BCC in bay 1, replace it with a regular BCC, and you'll be all set!!

I see to recall that there was one generation of BCC that needed 10 minutes to boot completely... Shutting down before that would wipe it clean.

Telephone guy, not to boot, but to upgrade. Any BCC III when you upgrade the pbx needs to upgrade the BCC's as well. It takes approximately 20 minutes for the BCC to download the needed software. If you reboot the BCC before it's done, it's firmware is corrupted.
