How do I unlock a station? I get no dial tone in the guest hotel room and when I call from the console it goes directly to voice mail. When I press ATT FUNCTION and STATION it says LOCKED. Help! I can't find anything in my manuals.

mitel manuals can be pretty frustrating if your not versed in the system
you might want to give your mitel vendor a call

You could try *32 RELEASE, but I doubt it will help. Sounds like you may have either bad phone, bad wiring, bad jack(s), bad station port in SX50. Mitel tech should be able to narrow it down in 1/2 hour or less, altho the actual repair could take much longer, especially if it's a wire/cable problem. John C.

Well, thanks for the responses. We are in the middle of nowhere so it is extremely difficult to find techs...I have learned a lot about this system but nowhere can I find anything on a locked station. Any other ideas?

Its hook switch on your phone. take a look on the ONS card. If port stays lit replace telephone.

I'm sorry- our old system in another property was an sx-50...this is an sx-200. Does that make any difference? I have tried different phones and different cords...no luck. Thanks.

Locked out means that the phone is off-hook longer than the system will allow, without dialing anything.
The pair of wires to the phone is shorted somewhere. Check to see if someone has plugged the handset into the "data" port on the side of the phone. If not, call WesternTelephone (above) and get some professional help tracking down that short.
