Does anyone have any thoughts on Samsung OfficeServ (7100/7200S) inbound (POTS, PRI or SIP trunk)call routing based on inbound CallerID? I would like to add numbers (similar to Call Block) and have the calls from a specific set of numbers auto route to a anounce only VM then hangup. Or, possible 3rd party device\software to intercept over SIP trunk by inbound CallerID and re-write\route to a "Catch-ALL" DID that the PBX AA can then send to a corresponding anounce only VM. Lots of applications in mind, one being handling re-occuring un-wanted Callers. Thanks in advance.

I know you can do individual number routing (i do this for nuisance callers for customers, send them a a virtual which goes nowhere).

CLI routing will override the DID routing, you specifiy a destination for all RP's, and whether to reject the call or not.

DM Menu 3.2.5 CLI Ringing is what your looking for

Thanks NameLess. That actually worked well. I assume I can also attach an anounce only VM to the virtual? Calls were mostly nuisance, however annouce only could be helpful in some circumstances. thanks again.

Yep, just forward the virtual to the vm and program as per normal

One more note, you can also route the calls within the voicemail system using a menu that takes its input from caller ID number. We had someone harassing us, and it was easy enough for us to block their phone number using DM 3.2.5 CLI Ringing. But of course the troll just started calling us by blocking their caller ID and coming in as an anonymous caller. This person was calling us after hours and leaving harassing voicemail messages. I wanted to block them from leaving voicemail messages but I did not want to block all incoming calls without Caller ID at the carrier level. So I created a custom menu in the SVMI that processes all calls before they go to a mailbox. If there is no caller ID on the call, it is routed to the intercept message telling them that they need unblock their caller ID and call back. If caller ID is present, then the call is passed through to the FWD STATION or FWD TRUNK menu and processed as it normally would be to take a message. It works great.
