Hello

We have a Samsung idcs 500 with SVMi-8e . Recently our receptionist's phone doesn't receive voice mail if someone calls her direct line, however if its called internaly with the extension the voice mail picks up.

I have tried deleting the mailbox and recreating it, this didn't work.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

It sounds like the forwarding for that extension is not correct. With the handset in the cradle, try typing 603. Verify your voicemail group is listed and press okay.

Most likely the user dialed 600 and cleared the forwarding. There is a way to setup a Preset Forward No Answer, but that requires tech level access to the system.

Thanks for the reply.

When i type 603 it ask me to put in the station or group #

I enter ext 7011 and it said "forward when no answer 7011.

I do have tech access to the system.

Where did you come up with the number 7011? In most systems, that would be a trunk. Group number are usually 5XXX.

Then you need to enter 5499 instead of 7011.

I'm not sitting in front of a phone right now, but I believe you just need to press the right soft key and then select yes.

I was wrong about the soft key, that only applies when programming the actual MMC through a keyset.

After making the change, have you tried calling from outside?

Are you sure 5499 is your voicemail group? That is not a normal voicemail group number.

I'm not sure why this isn't working for you, but it's probably time to contact your dealer for assistance.
