Years ago there was a Tie phone that would store a set amount of numbers and when those numbers rang in it would not let them through.
I am looking for something like that for a Toshiba CIX100 system that would filter annoyance calls.
If you call the number back there is no answer and most likely it is a faked number but the caller ID presents the same number time after time and the VOIP carrier doesn't want to be bothered about it, not charging enough money.
Any good ideas out there to solve this for a rational amount of money?
Thanks, Bracha

I know people who use Asterisk PBX systems to do the filtering. Since I am Asterisk illiterate, that's as much info that I can provide.

We use inbound CID call routing on the Avaya IP Office to do this. Will the CIX100 do inbound call routing based on CID?

I don't get this often, but I use inbound CID call routing to a Phantom mailbox setup as an AudioText only box (announcement only, no message). I then leave the system message on that says "There is no one available to take your call." It plays twice and they are disconnected.

I don't know if it will work on your PBX but in the UK we have a truecall https://www.truecall.co.uk/ It appears to support American Caller-ID format in the options for using with VoIP. However I don't know if it could 'phone home' to update its settings from the US.

would that work on an ies32?
I have a sweetheart relationship with Dove, the Toshiba dealer, I've closed sales for them, I do their Avaya Partner work, etc. and when I asked them about this they were clueless.
I've got a CIX100, ACTU3, ies32
Usually set to ring live, then to VM after 4 rings.
The annoying people usually hang up after they get my voicemail greeting.
They are fake Jews looking to steal charity money. I had sent them some money then caught them in a lie and once I knew they were crooks told them never to call again but now they just call and call and call.
A REAL charity would not keep calling and calling and calling to just annoy you.
Thanks, Bracha

The demo took quite a few minutes but that is an IMPRESSIVE unit. If I can use my ies32 I will, but the trueCall is a real ball buster for annoying callers.
