In the reception desk voicemail box there is probably an option for "System manager options."

Selecting that should allow you to "change a mailbox."

if you enter the extension, the system should offer to delete the mailbox or to delete the password, or to set the mailbox to "new."

If you want to listen to the messages, delete the password. Then you can log in and set a new password at will. If you don't care what messages may have been left, reset the mailbox. The user will then be prompted to record new greetings, set a passcode, etc.

In the future, it is a good administrative practice to require that users seal their passcodes in an envelope and leave the envelope with a responsible party (General Manager, HR office, Etc).

Also, do not leave mailboxes without passcodes.

Ok, newbie here, I have an Elite IPK system installed at my church, with an elitemail system. I have the install sheets from the job and the station 100 vm password, however it doesn't give me an option for System Manager Options. Any clue how to access this some other way like a backdoor password? We have hired as new youth pastor and worship leader but cant reset the info on their phones. Also the VM time is off which is really frustrating. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Tony

The voicemail time is under "system options," "system schedule."

If the voicemail is an Elitemail LX, you will need to call out a tech.

Yes, just to set the time.... frown
