I need to reset the vm pw on an ext on a NEC Dterm80. How would I go about doing that?

It depends on the Voicemail system and phone system that the phone is connected to.

NEC DTerm80 is the model of the phone, and it can be used on several systems.

The best and easiest way is to find the voicemail administrator or telephone system administrator for your organization, and have them reset the password. Or, an authorized NEC dealer can recover passwords, if you have no administrator (or if the admin passcode has been lost).

Oh Ok! Well then I have no idea what sys we are using. Only that DeltaCom is our provider. The problem is that the admin no longer works here. I have contact DeltaCom and instead of a tech telling me what to do they would like to send someone out and charges us an arm & a leg. Any suggestions?

Okay. Somewhere in a closet or a bathroom or a storeroom, there will be a lot of tiny telephone wires on the wall that all connect to a big box that says NEC.

If you can find and describe that box, it would help. A large box about 3' cubed, in the middle of the floor? A small blue box on the wall, about 2'x2'x1', white with a blue vertical stripe? Same, Navy blue, no stripe? Same, navy blue, w/ royal blue diagonal stripe?

Also, If there is a PC on the floor next to that box, does it say something like "AD-40" or "Repartee" or "Replay" on a sticker on the front?

Also, even though you have one provider, you can call other providers if you can find one that won't charge an arm and a leg.
